The Commission for Regulation of Utilities has begun the process of recognising qualifications earned in EU member statesby electrical contractors and gas installers. The EU requires the CRU to recognise the qualifications of all applicants applying to be registered under the 'Safe Electric' and 'RGI' schemes.

The CRU has worked in cooperation with a number of partners, such as SOLAS, RGII and RECI, to create a consultation parer regarding the proposed scheme. More information is available from the CRU website.
